WHY ROCK?

GIRL MEETS ROCK is a web manga serialized in Shounen Jump+ (JP) and MangaPlus (EN/ES) since January 2024.

The pre-serialization was written and illustrated by Kuwahali, and the current version is illustrated by Tetsuo Ideuchi (Chow Time at the Ballpark).

The manga follows Chihiro Hatono, a first year who pulls up the courage to buy her first guitar and join her school's light music club.

Unfortunately, due to issues with licensing, the official translation no longer has lyrics for the music used in the manga. All lyrics have been censored. Originally they used giant black boxes but as of like February 2025, they now use music notes, which is a bit of an improvement.
